This is the finished portrait of "Bella", a blue nosed Pit Bull. She was
the beloved and loving pet of one of my High School students, Teresa
Hart. I am so happy to have received so many positive and encouraging
comments of my works of art. I believe I have my found my corner of the
world in art. I will continue my other subjects but I intend to put my
focus and priority to doing these. If interested contact me at

"Gidget Anne"
Gidget Anne is a beautiful Leonberger. The Leonberger is a giant dog breed, whose name derives from the city of Leonberg in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. According to legend, the Leonberger was ostensibly bred as a "symbolic dog" that would mimic the lion in the town coat of arms.
This lady, so regal in countenance, shows her gentle but strong personality through her eyes. Greatly loved by her family, she gave them great love in return. I am so happy to do this portrait of her and I know it will grace their home giving the family many hours of joy knowing that she is watching over them and it will be a painting that will be the basis of conversation, stories and pleasant memories.

Bullet
I have finished this portrait of a very beautiful Dachshund. His name is
"Bullet." This is painted in oils on a 16"x20" stretched canvas ready
to hang as is or placed in a frame. This was a request of Bill Sims, a
former student of mine at Branson High School. I am honored it will be
displayed at his home. I have time in my schedule to do the next request
if anyone is interested in a pet portrait. I will be preparing an
instructional sheet so that I can produce the highest quality possible. I
do receive memorial pet portraits to paint.

"Mikey"
"Mikey" is the second of my pet portraits. This little fellow recently passed away. I have known his owner for many years and she, of course, is quite devastated with his passing away. I would rather paint these pets in a more formal manner without the distraction of backgrounds of any sort. The viewer can enjoy and appreciate more the personality of the pet.
"Cooper"
"Cooper" was a rescue dog that belonged to a classmate in the Idaho Springs, Colorado school district. Reed Malleck posted a photograph of his pet. With just the look and the action, I knew that this had to be the first pet portrait that I would do. This oil painting is on a 11"x14"canvas background.

First Post
Knowing that pets are so much a part of our families and losing one is a traumatic event, I have decided to put my artistic talents to purpose and paint a memorial portrait of one's beloved pet in basically oil paints. I shall also paint portraits of current living pets. I will post more information shortly about my works, prices and other pertinent matters such as the photographs etc that will make the best portraits. I will post examples of completed portraits. I do post step by step process at times on my Facebook pages:
